EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY

In grades 6-8, students develop a strong foundation in core academics to support a lifelong love for learning. Experienced teachers lead the students in enrichment classes including PE, Music, Art, Spanish, and Studio Workshop, providing exceptional academics while celebrating and supporting students’ individual needs. Bible curriculum is intended to help strengthen a child’s relationship with Jesus through age-appropriate object lessons, scripture memory, and service projects.

OUR GOAL: our students are ABLE

OUR STANCE ON HOMEWORK

We believe homework is an effective tool used to solidify concepts learned in class.
On average, we incrementally increase daily homework by 10-15 minutes per grade level, beginning in 1st grade.

NURTURING PERFORMANCE WITH RIGOROUS ACADEMICS

The SRVCA faculty strive to provide instruction to each individual to equip them to
smoothly transition into a more independent high school environment.

ACADEMIC RESOURCES

SRVCA’s resource program offers Christian education to students who learn in different ways. Currently, we support students diagnosed with mild differentiated learning styles. Teachers partner with the public school system and private specialists to meet individualized goals established through existing IEP/504 plans.

CLASS SIZE

Our class sizes cap at 24 students in grades 6-8.

STUDIO WORKSHOP

Students explore creative expression through a variety of mediums. This weekly class enhances topics explored in history, science, literature and bible through an artistic lens. Additional STEAM aspects are introduced to stimulate higher thinking skills along with creativity.
